Things You Expect to See, And Don’t in October. You don’t expect to see summer vegetables and flowers. You do expect pineapple guava a Stupice tomato (developed in the Czech Republic, and suited for Southern California’s microclimate by the coast) and if you are lucky, some olives.

And it’s really hot today, so, who knows how long the lower row will go. Actually, though, I pulled out the squash yesterday. That’s all she wrote on squash till next year. – Kaye

  2. My Dad says that because of the weather in the UK his garden has been anything but predictable this year

    • Yes, Dallas, it’s been really hot here, and today there’s no sun, and I’m afraid I should have said “might expect to see.” Who knows with global warming/climate change (which our current top two candidates for President are glaringly not talking about….ask the people in Australia about it, they know), what we can expect in future. – Kaye
