“Growing Cauliflower Curbside” is Episode 2 of the new urban garden web show, “Late Bloomer.” Kaye’s first vegetable (ever!) is quite a challenge, but rewarding! Please watch and share Late Bloomer, episode 2, “Growing Curbside Cauliflower.”

Kaye…Love the show! I attempted to post this tip earlier, maybe this time I’ll do it right: Growing up in the TN backwoods, we learned to “get by” without a lot of sprays and chemicals. An effective defense against leaf-chewing bugs: self-rising flour. the bugs eat the four, it mixes in their tummies, and the sun’s love does the rest.
Great little show here. Keep up the good work!

    • Hey, Frank, can you get more specific. Do you just sprinkle it on the leaves? What happens when it rains?? Does it get all gunky? My biggest issue now is snails and slugs. I wouldn’t think they’d want to slither over flour.
